To the Island of the Gods as Bali is known, one goes for its beaches of fine sand, the capricious relief of its coast, the temples with views to volcanoes, the diving and the snorkel, or the walks for its terraces of rice and its jungles.
Such an experience can only be accompanied by sleeping in romantic accommodations in Bali like those in this article.
Here are five places to sleep in Bali if you travel as a couple (or if you travel alone and like charming places).
The areas in which they are found are those most likely to accommodate you to explore Bali (Seminyak, Sidemen, Ubud) and the islands of Nusa Penida and Gili Air (which is a middle ground between Gili Trawangam, the island of nightlife, and Gili Meno, the smallest island, isolated and without much to do beyond spending the day on the beach and the sea).
The Amasya Villas (Seminyak)
Every morning, two friendly employees will knock at your villa’s door. The night before, you will have told them which time is best for you. It’s not to clean and make the bed, but to make you breakfast in your kitchen.
That personalized service, and the cleaning of the villa, are the only intrusions on your privacy while you stay in one of the private villas of The Amasya Villas complex, a few minutes from the long beach of Petitenget or many options for lunch and dinner.
Although they offer other types of accommodation, deluxe double rooms with access to a shared swimming pool in front of the restaurant, the main reason to stay at The Amasya Villas, in the middle – but isolated from the noise – centre of Seminyak, are their Villas.
They have 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas, all of them with swimming pool and high walls that guarantee privacy. The one-bedroom villa in which I stayed has a sheltered area with loungers to relax in, an open living area and an open dining and kitchen area overlooking the pool.
To show, a button, or rather a video recorded with the mobile.
From here you can access the bedroom and it has a sliding door that leads to the large bathroom which, in addition to a separate shower, has a large bathtub.
One of the private villas at The Amasya Villas is a perfect intimate retreat for a couple who want to be close to bars and restaurants, the beach to watch the sunset, and a private place in which to enjoy a swimming pool and a large relaxation area.

International travel insurance
Do not leave home without a travel insurance is more than a recommendation, is something essential especially when your destination is a country like Indonesia. There are companies specialised in all types of travellers such as Seguros Iati that will give you a tailor-made budget depending on the type of trip you are going to make, the countries you are going to visit and the length of stay.
Also if you do it through this link you will get 5% to come from us.
Villa Sidemen (Sidemen)
In Villa Sidemen we will have the luxury of an exclusive private villa overlooking an active volcano, but far enough away to enjoy only the imposing presence of Mount Agung.
Or its infinity pool, where it is difficult to resist (why?) the temptation to swim to the edge and see a panorama where the jungle alternates with cultivated fields and small villas in the distance.
And very close, just a few meters away, our private butler serves only the residents of Villa Sidemen, a type of customer service that derives from the origins of this Villa, built by the Royal Family of Sidemen.
A huge master bedroom with full bathroom, including a large round bathtub, a well-kept garden, a porch from which to watch the sunset, Balinese details in the decoration and a location isolated from other accommodations, are some of the details that you will fall in love with Villa Sidemen and that you can see in this video.

Rent a car with a discount of up to 15%:
If you are traveling to Indonesia and you want to keep your Spanish WhatsApp number, have several Gb of data to surf the Internet and a 24/7 Spanish technical support service, we recommend that you take a HolaFly data SIM card from Spain, which we talked about in this article, after testing them in several countries.
And if you buy it through our link, you get a 5% discount on its price.
Sayan Terrace Resort (Ubud)
The pool may be shared when you’re staying in room 105, but its name leaves no doubt when the sign next to the door says “Sayan Terrace Honeymoon Suite with Amazing View,” and I know “amazing” doesn’t exactly mean that, but it fits better.
The fantastic thing is that you are on the top floor of a building of only two floors and a single room in each, that the access is exclusive for you, that the bathroom is huge with a semicircular bathtub that does justice to it, that you have a terrace with a great Balinese invention, the “day bed” to take a nap.
And if you decide to do so, before your eyes close you will only see jungle, jungle and jungle everywhere.
However, you are only 5 minutes away from the civilisation of the centre of Ubud, but much closer to an infinity swimming pool (there is the option of staying in a villa with a private swimming pool), from landscaped paths that take you to a breakfast area where the food equals, again, the views (although your eyes won’t pay much attention to the dish).

Save on your expenses in Bali
If you are concerned about the fees your bank may charge you for a withdrawal from a cashpoint machine outside Spain, say goodbye to the fees with the Bnext card.
We have explained in detail our experience and how it works in this article but, in short, it is an international prepaid VISA card from a Spanish company that has no issuing or maintenance costs and that returns the commission charged by a cashpoint machine (in addition to applying the – more favorable – official exchange rate of VISA).
If you want to start saving, Bnext gives you 10 Eur when you make your first deposit from this link.
Villa Coco Republic (Gili Air)
Imagine a cottage with a high thatched roof and braided reed walls, one of only five that face a pool while the sixth does it to the sea of Bali, which by walking a score of meters and crossing the unpaved street you can put your feet in the sea.
That’s Villa Coco Republic in Gili Air, which also has a villa with a private pool, a small set of tropical-style cottages, but with a fridge and television (which I never turned on).
The bathroom is in the back of the cabin and has been partially discovered, so it compensates for the lack of luxury in it.
The “bonus” of sleeping in one of those little cabins when the lights go out after contemplating a few more seconds the natural ceiling, is that the only sound you will hear is that of the sea, less than 40 m away.

Road Beach Premier (Nusa Penida)
The beach at the door of the room is a concept that materializes in Road Beach Premier, on the island of Nusa Penida.
At the Road Beach Premier the only three cabins that rise are two-story and each of them is a private lodge.
The rooms on the ground floor are at ground level, although elevated, such as the terrace from which they are accessed, but more like the sand.
The rooms on the first floor – the ones I recommend – are accessible via a wooden staircase between the cabins, have the largest ceilings and the terrace offers better views because of its height.
The well-stocked bar will offer you an inexpensive beer so that, if you prefer to do it outside the room, you can watch the sunset on one of the beachfront puffs.
Alternative Accommodation: Merta Beach Bungalow by Bukit Vista
At the foot of the beach, with private swimming pool, in a cabin, overlooking the jungle, or in an exclusive villa, these five romantic accommodations are the essence of a trip to Bali.
